Wyvern's Hoard

Well, the other day when Wysteria was released in the Live Realm, I decided to test my luck with the new Wyvern's Hoard pack. So, with a grimace on my face and my lucky jade in hand, I bought a few and...

I landed myself a Gold Wyvern!

And I received this beforehand:

It's a Life Ghoul; pretty cool in my opinion. But still, I'm overjoyed that I didn't throw away all my crowns for nothing.

But in a bit of sad news, I decided to enter a few of the House-a-palooza/Central's 3rd Birthday contests and didn't even get on the board in any of them. Oh well. Maybe next week I'll be able to get somewhere with a picture of Meowiarty I'm working on. Here's my entry for the hand-drawn art contest that ended last week:

Being Riddikulus

Yeah, I've been reading Harry Potter lately, can you tell?

Slowly but surely still journeying through Wintertusk, just spent a heck of a lot of gold on new gear that makes me look like a Viking and makes me awesome. *puts on sunglasses*

Huh, that would be funny if your wizard could actually wear sunglasses in W101...And very, very anachronistically strange.

The stye is still there, and it's making it terribly hard to concentrate in battle. DARN YOU, EYE INFECTIONS!!

But enough of my rambling for today, you kids go have fun with your uninfected eyes.

More Random Stuff

Also, I'm just going to put this out there, but I'm here and willing to help ANYBODY in the game if they need it, whether it's answering questions or helping someone beat that one boss. I may not know everything, but I do want to help the community in anyway that I can.

Also, expect pet pictures soon C:

Stye in My Eye

Blaah, it's hard to concentrate today, due to working on a costume and my lack of sleep.

Which apparently has triggered an infection in my eye called a stye; it's basically like a blister on the underside of your eye that hurts to no end when you blink. It feels a bit like a bruise and sometimes looks like one too.

But enough about me, let's talk games.
That would be me right there, in a room in my Dragon's Fjord designed to look like Krokotopia and wearing my Guardian costume.

I've been adventuring through Wintertusk lately, finding this to be one of the best parts of the game released so far. Seriously. It's awesome.

I also picked up my copy of Beckett today, after having to drive into downtown to pick it up from my bookstore because my local grocer didn't have it. Sad face. Not exactly the most pleasant thing to do when you have an eye infection.

But, that's about all for today, it seems. Moral of today: wash your hands and sleep so you don't get a stye infection like me.
"This is gonna hurt...."

Starting Out

So today, I begin my new blog charting my many (mis)adventures in the game Wizard101. Let's begin with some backstory...

I started playing the game when it was first released, shortly after seeing the commercials on TV and ads for it all around. I became hooked to it within seconds, enjoying every moment of casting spells, summoning magical creatures, and trying to gather enough coins to get a pet dragon. Yeah, I really had my priorities straight. (I did get the dragon, for those who are curious, and named her Luna). After that, my range of free play ran out, but SURPRISE! With Christmas came a subscription, and I continued my journey through the Spiral as Shelby Spiritblood: sorcerer, loot merchant, and completely goofy at times.

So that's basically my story. I've recently defeated Malistaire in Dragonspyre, and really haven't gotten over the excitement yet to go mess around in Celestia.

Also, random little factoid about me; I enjoy putting trees where they shouldn't be. Like in houses. Why? I don't know.
